RR – Where are your products made?

OB – All our products are manufactured in Christchurch.  Yes, the factory is still standing…just!

RR – When did your business begin and what was the main motivation to begin/buy your business?

OB – I began developing products over 15 years ago.  The motivation was to make products that I liked using, that I could afford and that provided very real results.  The word spread about the products and we grew from a cottage industry to a fully fledged business about 6 years ago.

RR – Tell a little about your team and who is involved in making the products?

OB – There’s myself, Steph – product development and office manager and my sister-in-law, Donna who is our sales manager.  Amy is our specialist beauty therapy lady and then there’s Ian who packs and sends off all the orders. Don’t forget mum, Diane – who does all the filing and paperwork!  Our contract factory has 35 lovely people who manufacture, label and pack all our products.

RR – What is the philosophy behind your products?

OB – Oasis Beauty are all about making products that are effective, affordable and naturally-inspired.

RR – What is the one ingredient you couldn’t do without?

OB – Far too hard.  We use a wide combination of natural ingredients and vitamins to effect change.  I couldn’t possibly choose just one!

RR – What is your favourite product of all time and why?

OB – SUNSCREEN!  Don’t even talk about anti-ageing until you can prove you use a high SPF sunscreen every single day, even in winter.  That’s the secret to youthful skin.
